The kids who do best aren't the ones who can recite the alphabet. They're the ones whose parents understand what actually matters – and have a simple, actionable way to support it.

That's why I created pedalED (Pedal Education & Development).

Because honestly ... you don't need another expert talking to you about milestones and benchmarks.

You need someone who can translate all the speech pathology jargon into "oh, THAT'S what I should be doing" moments.

Someone who knows that you're not failing because you don't have time for flashcards.

You're crazy busy being a parent.

  • The kid who struggled to ask for help? Now confidently raising their hand in class.
  • The shy preschooler who barely spoke? Now telling elaborate stories about their day.
  • The parent who wondered "am I doing enough"? Realizing with a bit of guidance they know exactly what will make a difference.

That transformation? That's what gets me out of bed in the morning. (Well, that and really good cheese. I'll travel far for excellent cheese.)

Why I do this (and why I'm a bit obsessed)

I've worked with hundreds of families, and I've seen first hand what happens when parents are given the right guidance.

I'm not talking about months long programs or mile long checklists, but simple, evidence-informed strategies that fit into real life.

  • Your child's learning and development journey simply needs you - pedalling alongside them, present, playful, and consistent.

  • School readiness isn't about how good their handwriting is or if they can tell the difference between b and d.  It's about whether they can express themselves, listen, connect, and feel confident trying new things.

  • You don't need to be a teacher, a speech expert, or have already discovered what NOT to do with your first 3 kids. You just need an actionable strategy that works for your life.

  • Your tiny human will do their best learning in everyday moments – not in formal lessons – and I can show you how to make those moments count.

  • Parent guilt is real, but it's also optional. You're allowed to feel confident about what you're doing.

Here's what I believe:

A little more about me - the non-speechie stuff

When I'm not nerding out over language development, you'll probably find me:

Planning my next camping trip (because nothing says "I work with preschoolers" like needing to escape into nature)

Writing run-on sentences that would make my high school English teacher weep

Oh, and I've always loved kids – I started babysitting when I was about 12 and never really stopped. Turns out, making a career out of helping little humans communicate was kind of inevitable.

Attempting some sort of granny-hobby (sewing, crochet, knitting, mosaics – if it involves yarn or tiny tiles, I'm there)

Baking something - there is no limit to the number of choc chip biscuit recipes I'll try
